Payment Terms
These Payment Terms apply to every invoice, payment request, and payment submitted to First Capital Funding, including payments made through our secure client payment portal.
Last updated: July 30, 2026
01Only Pay Against an Invoice or Payment Request
Submit payment only after you have received an invoice, consulting agreement, or written payment request from an authorized First Capital Funding representative. We will never ask you to send funds to a personal account, to a name other than First Capital Funding or First Capital Funding, or to change payment instructions by unverified email. If instructions look unusual, call (215) 410-5973 before sending anything.
02Accepted Payment Methods
- Credit and debit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.
- Digital wallets: Apple Pay and Google Pay, where supported by your device.
- ACH bank debit from a U.S. business checking account, with signed authorization.
- Zelle, Venmo, and Cash App to our published business handles, for invoiced amounts only.
Card and wallet payments are processed by Stripe on PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure. Full card numbers are never stored on our systems.
03Invoices and Payment Links
Each payment is tied to an invoice number generated at the time of the request. Unless your invoice or engagement agreement states otherwise, invoices are due upon receipt. Payment links and portal sessions are time-limited and are valid only for the invoice referenced.
04ACH Authorization
By completing and signing the ACH authorization in our payment portal, you authorize First Capital Funding to initiate a one-time electronic debit from the account you designate, in the amount and on the processing date you specify. You certify that you are an authorized signer on that account and that it is a U.S. account held at a U.S. financial institution.
Debits submitted after 5:00 PM ET, or on a weekend or bank holiday, are processed on the next banking day. You may revoke an authorization by written notice to team@firstcapfunding.com at least three banking days before the scheduled processing date. We retain executed authorizations in accordance with NACHA rules.
05Late Payments
Amounts not paid when due may accrue a late charge of 1.5% per month, or the maximum rate permitted by applicable law if lower, from the due date until paid. Services may be suspended on past-due accounts, and you are responsible for reasonable collection costs and attorneys' fees on amounts properly owed.
06Declined Cards and Returned ACH
If a card is declined or an ACH debit is returned — for insufficient funds, a closed account, a stop payment, or otherwise — the invoice remains outstanding. We may re-present the item once as permitted by NACHA rules and your authorization. A $35 returned-payment fee, or the maximum permitted by law if lower, may be assessed per returned item.
07Fraud Prevention and Verification
Payments are screened for fraud and may be verified by phone before processing. We may decline, delay, or refund any payment that fails verification, appears unauthorized, or does not correspond to an issued invoice. Attempted card testing, use of an account you are not authorized to use, or submission of falsified banking details will be reported.
08Receipts, Disputes, and Refunds
A written confirmation is issued for every accepted payment. Review charges promptly and contact us within 30 days of any billing question. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. Contact billing at team@firstcapfunding.com or (215) 410-5973, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM ET.
