Straight answers on qualifying, funding timelines, documents, and how our programs compare across the entire First Capital finance hub.
We're a full-service business finance hub. Our programs include SBA loans, conventional term loans, bank lines of credit, equipment financing, merchant cash advances, invoice factoring, business debt consolidation, ID theft & credit monitoring, and credit rebuilding programs. Whether you need working capital, growth funding, or help restoring your credit profile, we have a program that fits.
It depends on your credit, time in business, revenue, use of funds, and how quickly you need capital. Submit an application or speak with an advisor and we'll walk you through the trade-offs — rate, term, speed, and collateral requirements — across every product we offer.
No. Our initial review requires only a soft inquiry, which does not impact your FICO. A hard pull is only performed with your written consent once you accept a specific offer.
Most programs require at least 6 months in business, $15,000 in monthly gross revenue, and a business bank account. SBA and bank products typically require stronger credit and 2+ years in business. Credit rebuilding programs are available to business owners regardless of revenue.
Speed varies by product. MCA, invoice factoring, and small equipment deals often fund the same day or within 24–72 hours. Term loans and lines of credit usually close in 3–10 business days. SBA loans are the slowest — expect 3–8 weeks depending on program and lender.
Approval sizes range from $10,000 up to $5,000,000+ depending on the program, your revenue, and credit profile. SBA loans can go up to $5M, MCA and short-term products typically cap at $500K–$1M, and equipment financing is limited by the value of the asset being financed.
Most business financing requires a personal guarantee from owners with 20%+ equity. Collateral requirements vary: SBA and bank loans may require business assets or real estate, equipment loans use the equipment itself, and MCAs and factoring are typically unsecured against hard assets.
Yes — we have programs for FICO scores as low as 500. Revenue-based products like MCA and factoring weigh cash flow more heavily than credit. If credit is the barrier, our credit rebuilding program can help position you for better rates down the road.
First Capital originates funding directly on some programs and, when it delivers a better rate or fit for the merchant, arranges financing through our vetted network of institutional lending and service partners. Either way, one application accesses the full marketplace.
For most programs: a completed application, the most recent 3–6 months of business bank statements, and a copy of the owner's ID. SBA, term loans, and larger facilities may also require tax returns, financial statements, and a debt schedule. Factoring requires an accounts receivable aging report.
No. Our business debt consolidation is a new financing that pays your existing lenders in full at closing, keeping every account in good standing. It is not third-party debt settlement, negotiation, or workout — it's a cash flow tool that replaces multiple high-frequency payments with one lower payment.
All uploads and form submissions are transmitted over TLS encryption and reviewed only by licensed staff. Your information is never sold, and it is only shared with the specific lender or service partner you are matched with for the program you're applying to.
There is no cost to apply or receive offers through First Capital. Fees and prepayment terms vary by product and lender — we disclose all costs before you sign. Many of our term products offer early payoff discounts, while MCA is a fixed-cost product with no APR interest accrual.
